Fotopro UK - New UK site for sale of Fotopro Tripods and monopods:
Sites I use for weather forecasting:
Aurora alerts for UK - interactive app where you can look up Aurora in the UK, and report sightings of it live
Snapp Guides - not visited a location before? download a guide onto your phone with local insights and knowledge
Mark Andreas Jones Photography, & NiSi Filters sales, Iceland Tours:
Mike Dutsons’ walking & photography blog
Brian Wigglesworth - Long exposure fine art photography
Alpine Quest, mobile mapping for Android devices, I absolutely LOVE this app as it read Memory Map .QCT files, meaning I can get full UK OS 1:25 mapping on my mobile or tablet without having any need for an internet connection. Combined with a GPS signal your exact location appears on the OS mapping, brilliant.
Places to stay - Places I’ve stayed that I would recommend to other photographers: (I have no links to these places, they are simply places I’ve found that I‘ve enjoyed)
Cornlee B&B, Aysgarth, Yorkshire Dales - http://www.cornlee.co.uk/
Great B&B with absolutely loads of photographic opportunities nearby, brilliant base for exploring the Dales and the fantastic Aysgarth Falls. The owner is a really nice guy and very keen to talk photography, the breakfast is immense, it will set you up for a full day and is all local ingredients.
The Rookery B&B - Swanage, Dorset http://www.therookeryswanage.co.uk/
Great place literally 5 minutes from the beach, perfect base to explore Purbeck, top breakfasts.
Norwood House B&B, Ambleside, Lake District - https://www.norwoodhouse.net/
Various great locations for sunrise just a few mins drive away, stayed here numerous times, always great breakfasts and really comfortable rooms.
